Denton Community Challenge 2018
We are pleased to be able to donate a cheque for Denton Community Challenge 2018, which provides children with the opportunity to take part in sporting challenges and learn about the sporting opportunities available locally.
About Denton Community Challenge 2018
Denton Community Challenge is a committee of local residents who have come together to organise a summer event on behalf of the James Daniels Memorial Fund, FADS and St Leonards Church, Denton. Now in their seventh year, they bring you ‘2018: Who will Win’, as they look forward to Wimbledon, Football World Cup, Commonwealth Games, and other sporting greats!
This is an inclusive community sports day for all the family and will be held on the field opposite Tate’s garage, on Saturday 9th June 2017 from 1pm –5pm. There will be various challenges for families and individuals, centred around an arena, where displays and events will take place.
Please note that due to the fund raising that the committee do prior to the event many attractions are subsidised and the ‘Sporting Challenge’ on the day only costs nominal amount and allows the children to take part in numerous activities! Denton Community Challenge aims to provide a cheap day out and keep families engaged and entertained all day for very little cost.
To take part in the Challenge on the day kids just need to collect a scorecard (cost £1.50) from the main tent and then just visit all the groups offering sporting challenges which are located all around the field. Anything from Tennis to karate is possible – just join in.
