In 1988, Jane Waller and Brent Hallo, FitPro founders, visited the UK from Australia at a time when the fitness industry here was in its infancy. They recognised the opportunity to bring services, provide support and develop ongoing education for the UK market – This was the birth of FitPro. At this time, they also recognised that the industry was fragmented and it was their dream to bring the industry together. FitPro is now an integral part of the global fitness community – recognised in over 85 countries. Little did they know, back in 1990, that they would have created one of the world-leading fitness networks and that, over its lifespan so far, Fitpro has welcomed over 500,000 fitness professionals ‘through the doors’.
Fitpro had large numbers of servers located in various locations, with some older hardware requiring updating. Their current support was taking too long, costs were high and Office 365 migration was desired, as well as better data backup procedures.
Utilising our in-house Azure expertise, Cavcoms migrated two separate cloud infrastructures into one, significantly reducing costs while also introducing greater resiliency and uptime. Most of the on-site software & services were moved to new servers, enabling us to concentrate our support on newer operating systems, further streamlining the running of the business. Our SLAs ensure support is delivered swiftly, typically within the hour. With a migration across to Office 365, some hardware refreshing, and introduction of best practices applied to off-site backups completing the project, Fitpro’s IT Support now better reflects their progressive business.
