Stock Controller

Job Role: Stock Controller

Job Type: Part-time 10am – 2pm Monday to Friday, Permanent

Salary: £18,000 – £20,000 per annum pro-rata

Location: Newhaven near Brighton in Sussex

Due to an increased work load, we are looking for an experienced Stock Controller to organise, manage and maintain a variety of telecommunications and IT equipment to assist our customer support team.

Stock Controller responsibilities include tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits and maintaining reports of purchases and pricing. To be successful in this role, you should have good communication skills to interact with retailers, clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
  • Enter purchase details (supplier information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
  • Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed
  • Track shipments and address any delays
  • Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
  • Coordinate regular inventory audits
  • Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
  • Ensure purchases do not exceed budget

The ideal candidate will have

  • Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, inventory manager or similar role
  • Active participation in inventory audits
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Good communication and negotiation abilities
  • Good attention to detail
  • Physically able to heavy lift

First Line Helpdesk / Customer Support

Job Role: Helpdesk Customer Support

Job Type: Full time, 37.5 Hours per week, Permanent.

Salary: £20,000 – £24,000

Location: Newhaven near Brighton in Sussex

Cavendish Communications is an independent telecoms company providing the full range of communications solutions to support the needs of any modern business. Our services range from Business Telephone Systems to IT Solutions and Business Broadband. Due to an increased work load we are looking for a new member of our Help Desk Support team to provide first line telephone support to external customers.  Since 1990 Cavendish have built a strong reputation for customer service so we see this as a key role within the business.

This position presents a superb opportunity for a structured career and training from Customer Support through to more technical positions within the business such as Technical Support or Installation Engineers.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Dealing with incoming faults in a professional, courteous manner over the phone and via email and where customer service is a high priority.
  • Taking ownership of faults and managing them in a logical and methodical manner
  • Conducting full and thorough diagnostics with end users to enable first point of contact fault resolution
  • Ensuring all faults are progressed & cleared within expectation and agreed time frames – escalating internally if needed and appropriate
  • Managing faults through their entire lifecycle from the first point of contact through to resolution, proactively keeping the customer informed of progress
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems to the customers satisfaction & follow up

Skills:

  • Well organised.
  • Good communication with the ability to ask clear and precise questions to ascertain the exact details of support cases.
  • Good standard of education and competent IT and technical skills
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office products – Windows, Word and Excel
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous Support / Helpdesk / Service Desk or Call Centre experience
  • Previous experience working in customer support

Telephone Systems Engineer – Sub Contractors

Job Type: Telephone Systems Engineer – Sub contractors

Salary: £150 – 200 per day

Location: Near Brighton in Sussex

Cavendish is one of the UK’s fastest growing Telecoms companies. Due to a growing work load we are looking for sub contractors that would like to join our busy engineering team, based near Brighton in Sussex but currently installing nationwide.

As a sub contractor you will be working on various types of installations and projects, either solo or as a member of our team.

The role also involves working on various projects for our customers which will range from simple adds, move and changes to full system installations.

As the role can involve travel up and down the UK, occasional overnight stays may be required.

The Candidates:

The candidates must be a team player and follow through instructions with a can-do attitude. Health and Safety is an important part of all working environments and a good understanding of H&S is mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in at least one of the following systems: Panasonic NS700/1000, Mitel MiVoice office 250 or Mitel MiVoice Business.
  • Knowledge of programming either Netgear or HP Switches
  • DBS check – Desirable but not essential
  • Able to work with initiative and apply a forward-thinking mind-set
  • Customer facing, polite and informative
  • Full clean UK driving licence (Essential)

Data Cabling Engineer – Sub Contractors

Job Type: Data Cabling Engineer – Sub contractors

Salary: £120 – 150 per day

Location: Near Brighton in Sussex

Cavendish is one of the UK’s fastest growing Telecoms companies. Due to a growing work load we are looking for sub contractors that would like to join our busy cabling team, based near Brighton in Sussex.

As a sub contractor you will be working on various types of infrastructure installations and projects, either solo or as a member of our small team.

The role also involves working on various projects for our customers which will involve new installs across a number of sites around their business. These projects can range from cabling, wireless, access control and CCTV installs.

As the role can involve travel up and down the UK, occasional overnight stays are required.

The Candidates:

The candidates must be a team player and follow through instructions with a can-do attitude. Health and Safety is an important part of all working environments and a good understanding of H&S is mandatory.

The ideal engineers will have the following:

  • Proven experience of installation, test and termination of Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A cabling
  • Wireless Installation – Both Wi-Fi and Wireless links
  • CCTV installation
  • CSCS or ECS Card
  • IPAF/PASMA accredited – Desirable not essential but must be able to work at height
  • Able to work with initiative and apply a forward-thinking mind-set
  • Customer facing, polite and informative
  • Full clean UK driving licence (Essential)

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Fibre optic installation and termination
  • Access control installation
  • AV experience
