Cavendish Supports Charity Ball
Cavendish Provides Communications for Local Charity BallCavendish Communications were amongst a number of local companies who supported the Friends of the Eastbourne Hospitals and Eastbourne Rotary Club with their Spring into Action Ball at the Eastboutne Winter Gardens on Saturday March 5. Cavendish provided the communications network and cordless telephones on each table, which enabled the generous party goers and sponsors to bid for various items which had been donated for the event. A Great SuccessThe evening was a great success and a great result for the charities with in excess of £20,000 raised on the night. Thanking supporters in the Eastbourne Herald, Chairman of Friends of the Eastbourne Hospitals, Peter Nash said, “This will make a significant contribution to the Friends’ fundraising for a Clinical Information System within the Intensive Care Unit. The provision of such a system will not only improve record keeping but, by being automated, will reduce the amount of “form filling” for the nursing staff giving them more time at the bedside and with patients’ relatives.” Special ThanksSpecial thanks went out to the many volunteers who helped on the evening which included Cavendish Engineer James Reid pictured far right above with wife Carmela along with a shot of the volunteer telephone operators on the night.
