Cavendish Sponsor Sussex Business Awards

For the second year in succession, Cavendish Communications were the main sponsors at the Sussex Express Business Awards.

Emotions ran high at the East Sussex National Golf Resort in Uckfield, as winners collected awards including ‘Best Place to Eat’, ‘Employer of the Year’, ‘Best Place to Learn’ and ‘Overall Business of the Year”, at the 2010 awards dinner.

Compered by the legendary Fred Dinenage, the awards were well attended by local businesses from the Sussex area.

In his opening address as main sponsor, Cavendish MD Lawrence Davison recognised the quality of businesses that are in Sussex and the hard work that people had put into running them, with tireless support from their families.

“Families of hard working business owners often get overlooked when it comes to recognition of business achievement and it is good to see so many partners attending the awards this evening.”

Lawrence also took the opportunity to recognise Cavendish Communications founders, Nicky and Andrew Walker on the 20th anniversary of their own business in Newhaven.

Cavendish chairman and founder Andrew Walker commented, “After 20 years in business it seems wholly appropriate to sponsor the awards again this year as a thank you to the local businesses that have helped make our business a success.”
