Cavendish joins the Sussex Wildlife TrustCavendish has become a member of the Sussex Wildlife Trust. The Trust looks after over 3000 acres of downland, woodland, wetland and heath and works with land owners, companies and local communities to conserve Sussex. Commenting on the membership, Director Nicky Walker said, “Cavendish supports a number of local charities and seeing the amount of good work the trust does in the area, it is an easy decision for us to become a member.” The Sussex Wildlife Trust was formed in 1961 and is now the largest conservation organisation dedicated to conserving the natural heritage of Sussex. With more than 25,000 members and 6,500 junior ‘Wildlife Watch’ members, the Trust manages 3,500 acres of land, which include some of the finest wild places in Sussex. Over 450 active volunteers are involved in all aspects of their work and together work more than 6,500 days a year for the Trust.
