Business Continuity Seminar

Despite local flooding, attendance was good for the Cavendish Communications business continuity event today in Newhaven.

A mixture of public and private sector organisations that had been hard hit by recent snow storms in Sussex and Kent, were keen to find out how their employees could continue to work effectively if they were not able to get to the office or indeed the office could not be used due to power failure, fire or flood.

24 hours before the event, Cavendish Communications were facing problems themselves with flooding and employees had to bail out the reception area as a result of heavy rain.

Despite these challenges, Cavendish were able to demonstrate ‘one number’ dynamic extension capabilities, audio and video conferencing and mobile twinning solutions, which can be used by businesses to maintain customer services, whatever the weather.

Managing Director Lawrence Davison commented, “We were concerned that we may have to call off the event, for exactly one of the situations we provide business continuity solutions for. Fortunately the rain eased off this morning and we were delighted with the attendance.”
